Pumpkin is packed with healthy deliciousness, so why not make a healthy smoothie out of it as a reward after a tough and sweaty workout?
Usually, we associate pumpkin spice with colder weather and fall, but personally I can have it anytime. I even secretly wish that fall would start earlier to get my favorite pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks (only as a cheat meal though, because of its high calories).
So instead of the cream laced, sugary concoction from Starbucks, I just opt to making a healthy smoothie with pumpkin spice flavor! It’s healthy, it’s delicious and it definitely does the trick when I crave the Starbucks’ version.
It is also much lower in calories and is packed with healthy nutrients, when you use real pumpkin. In fact, I just might go ahead and use the cliche term “superfood” to describe this vegetable. Just take a look at its nutrition profile:
So without further due – here is the recipe for this yummy healthy smoothie. And don’t wait until the cold weather to make it, it’s delicious any time of the year!
